The technical development over the past years has provided huge changes in all economic activities. Today innovative technologies and digitalization allow the rapid conversion of ideas and concepts which maybe were a mere vision ten years ago. At the same time the technology enables humans to continuously improve and perfect what currently exists. Event technology has always played a prominent role in the implementing and developing of innovative technology. Jürgen Neumann and Eberhard Müller have pushed back the envelope of technical development of the industry continuously since their beginnings in 1981 in Dusseldorf. They pride themselves in the competent know-how of their staff being able to consult their customers to create unique events and realize their visions, and to implement tomorrow what was only an idea yesterday. Both audio and visual engineers succeeded fast with their philosophy for the enterprise of N&M; they were also prepared to place their trust in partners outside of their Dusseldorf office and as such were able to gradually build a solid network in Germany and abroad. Today they have 19 branches nationwide in all major cities and on numerous trade fair venues as well as branches in Brussels, Prague, Dubai and Nottingham. The N&M locations are operating independently and every employee is involved in the success of N&M– in spite of today's size of the enterprise – by means of a flat hierarchy, clear structures and a sophisticated system being integrated independently in the team. The distinctive engagement of every employee within the whole enterprise is the result of this unusual construct. In Leipzig – directly on the exhibition grounds – Sebastian Schreiber and his team are take care of the implementation of the daily business. Over the country more than 800 employees are working for N&M. 125 project managers and operations managers conceive, plan and implement 4,000 events per year in Germany and worldwide. The backbone of the enterprise is, on this occasion, the "partner pool" from about 1,600 freelance active specialists – technicians, foremen and engineers in different fields. Moreover, the future of the enterprise revolves around the creation of its own education & training centre which caters for 67 young people presently.
“For us it is important to qualify own young people on the different areas of the event technology. Traineeships and training places are in strong demand with us. In the meantime, many graduates have become assistants in the team”, adds Sebastian Schreiber. As a technical service provider N*M is working for national and international enterprises as well as for agencies and event organizers - and naturally for the Leipzig Fair. Here they offer exhibitors and fair organizers an extensive media-technical care - for stand presentations, press conferences and congresses. The specialists compile technical concepts for a huge number of events for customers from the industry, the service industry and the arts and culture. On all competence fields - audio / visual / video / conferencing / staging / rigging / content production / event-IT - the enterprise demands the highest perfection. Continuous discussion and established partners of the planning, procurement and execution are the basis for this. Sebastian Schreiber underlines: " We put special value on the fact that as early as the concept phase we all sit together at a table: client, event manager, architects, stand builders as well as the technical engineers. So we have the best chances preferably to bring the creative ideas and their respective feasibilities into execution smoothly.
