Built between 1956 and 57 according to plans by Bruno Grimmek, the Palais am Funkturm is still the largest and perhaps most charming ballroom in Berlin. Use the venue, designed in the style of the 50s and 60s, for lavish balls or spend exclusive banquets and receptions on location. Of course, the setting is also predestined for unforgettable lectures or successful congresses.
The Palais, restored with attention to detail, is now a listed building and scores with various unique specials. For example, there is a retractable staircase and flexible folding walls, and the height-adjustable chandelier is an additional astonishing feature. Up to 2,400 guests can be accommodated on the total area of 3,533 m² - and enjoy the pleasure of an event location with curved forms and stylish design, including a gold leaf ceiling. Of course there is also a modern technical equipment. The large terrace with its impressive water features rounds off the offer.
For greetings and cocktail receptions, the directly adjacent Hall of Honour (Hall 19) is available on request. It was already built in 1936 and is one of the few remaining buildings of that time. Thanks to its size of over 909 m² and a 31.8 m high ceiling, it is extremely impressive. The exhibition halls 18 and 20 can also be reached from here.
