Schinkelhalle Potsdam
The new heart of Potsdam beats directly on the shores of Lake Tiefen. On an area of 12 ha, historic buildings were renovated here, at Schiffbauergasse, and filled with new life by an art and cultural scene as well as innovative high-tech companies. One of the historic buildings is the Schinkelhalle which was constructed in 1823 according to the plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It is one of the oldest and undoubtedly most impressive buildings on site.
Above the 700 m² wooden floor, there is a truss made of solid pine beams, which gives the hall its special flair.
