The listed brick building was built in 1888 by the Reichswehr as a garrison washhouse before the KUZ moved in a good 100 years later. Due to renovation this cultural meeting point had to close in 2015 - now it is back!

From the end of 2018 onwards, within the historical framework, with carefully preserved industrial charm, exuberant parties and concerts, cinema and theatre performances, creative poetry slams, readings or product presentations as well as workshops, flea markets and public viewings of major events will take place again. Furthermore, the event location offers space for successful business events such as conferences, seminars and meetings as well as extraordinary incentive events, company celebrations and team events. A large hall with capacities for up to 1,000 guests is available on the ground floor for this purpose. On the upper floor there is another room for up to 200 guests.

Of course, the new splendour also includes state-of-the-art event technology, which guarantees smooth processes. For music fans, dance lovers, whole families and, of course, event planners, the special location near the Mainz Winter Harbour and the Rhine will soon become a popular hotspot again!
