Café Kaltehofe - Kochlust
The Elbe Island Kaltehofe was built at the end of the 19th century. The Northern Elbe was rectified and the Billwerder Bay with the Elbe opening was created. On the island the Hamburg Waterworks had run a filtration plant till 1990. In the meantime, a greenbelt recreation area has originated here and the existing buildings are booked with pleasure as wedding location.
At the Café Kaltehofe - Kochlust you can carry out your wedding celebration in the museum cube with up to 100 guests. The café itself offers room for maximum 110 people. During the summer months you can also celebrate with pleasure on our wonderful outside terrace and enjoy the Elbe panorama. The view wanders to the south to the Northern Elbe, further to the wood harbour in the east and to the north up to the Billwerder Bay - a fantastic scenery for dreamlike wedding photos.
Very close to the wedding location chargeable parking bays are available. You can also arrive by public local means of transportation (city train S2 and S21 as well as the coach lines 120, 124 and 130). Then, however, you must calculate a little footpath (1.5 to 2 kilometres).
We are looking forward to carry out your wedding celebration at the Café Kaltehofe - Kochlust in Hamburg.
