Katholische Akademie Hamburg

As an institution of the Archdiocese of Hamburg, the Katholische Akademie has set itself the goal of bringing faith and religion into dialogue with today's society. In a central location with optimal transport connections, the academy is located in a five-storey building from the 1970s, which was extensively renovated in 2014 and taking into account the monument protection, was designed for the organisation of your individual events. For example, host a get-together in our flexible facilities, use the premises for a product launch or your after-work event and get the best results for your company during conferences, receptions, seminars, workshops or anniversaries.

You can receive your guests in the large foyer with 255 m² or use the smaller foyer with 130 m² with standing tables or classic seating arrangements. From the large foyer you can reach the courtyard, which also has access to Little Michel. On the first floor, Seminarraum 1 with an area of 67 m² is suitable for the individual use of up to 53 persons. Like all of our rooms, this room is also flooded with daylight and large panoramic windows give you a magnificent view of the Little Michel. However, the rooms can also be darkened at any time.

Directly opposite you will find the 81 m² Seminarraum 2 with a capacity for up to 74 people. Choose the type of seating in both rooms as required. The Auditorium is the largest hall on the ground and covers a total of 355 m². It is therefore suitable for auditorium seating with up to 330 participants and has direct access to the small foyer. Particularly spectacular is the panoramic room on the fifth floor, which takes its name literally. From here and the directly connected roof terrace you can see the city with all its landmarks from the Elbphilharmonie over the harbour to the Michel. The lift or stairs reachable space offers 178 m² and therefore enough space for up to 120 guests.

Our rooms will be equipped with modern event technology as required. A large pool of lighting technology is also available to let your event shine in the colors of your corporate identity.

Of course the Katholische Akademie offers you a delicious catering. According to individual agreement, we arrange for you different (flying) buffets, of course also in vegan, regional, seasonal or organic version!
