Star architect Sir Norman Foster has extended the construction of the urban gallery at the Lenbachhaus and, by the way, he has enriched it with an unusual restaurant. The impressive bar counter of luminous onyx is the main attraction of the interior. Some walls are decorated with the works of the Munich artist Thomas Demand.

The restaurant owes its naming to the liaison between Gabriele Münter and Vassily Kandinsky. "ELLA" - alias Gabriele Münter gave more than 80 works of the Blaue Reiter and of her companion at that time to the Lenbachhaus.

At the ELLA all senses are spoilt. You can feast through all 20 regions of Italy and experience la Dolce Vita in the heart of Munich.
