David Bosshart The consumer researcher
What does the future of consumption look like? Dr. David Bossart tracks down mega- and counter-trends
Dr. David Bossart has dedicated himself to consumption - for the sake of science and research, of course. What will our consumer behavior look like in the future? How will we live? What are we learning from major trends such as globalization, digitalization, the imbalance of capital and labor, and populism? How do we respond to the formation of a new class society? The future of consumption and social change, management and culture, globalization and political philosophy, these are the topics to which the trend and trade researcher has dedicated himself. Dr. Bossart knows why we depend on trust, why it is our most valuable asset in an increasingly complex world, and he knows the way to turn a crisis into an opportunity. It is not for nothing that David Bossart counts international corporations and associations, medium-sized companies in the retail sector, the consumer goods industry as well as science and research among his clients.
As a trained businessman, Dr. David Bossart completed his studies with a doctorate in philosophy and political theory at the University of Zurich. Following his doctorate, he found his fields of activity in communications and marketing consulting, in trade and in scientific research. Dr. Bossart was head of department at the GDI between 1991 and 1996, moved to the Migros-Genossenschaftsbund as head of strategic development and the directorate of culture and social affairs from 1997 to 1999, and finally returned to the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute as CEO in 1999. He established the GDI internationally as an independent think tank for business and society.
