Eat & Drink in "Zum Schlips" in Dortmund

Already in the 1950s, Dortmund had a pub, which operated the municipal distillery Krämer under the name "Probiertstube". After the pub was first closed and then reopened several times under a new name, a longer vacancy finally followed. In 2016, however, the conditions were renovated with attention to detail and await you since then under the name "Zum Schlips" in a new and perhaps somewhat unusual shine.

The venue has a bar room with capacity for around 30 guests, as well as the Jagdstube and a bowling alley in the basement. Within these premises, there is room for a good 70 people. Whether private family celebrations, relaxed meetings or corporate events – almost every kind of event is just right here.

Zum Schlips is the low-cost alternative for your event, as there is no room hire charge for a booking, only a minimum consumption charge. In culinary terms, "Zum Schlips" focuses on delicious buffets, which you can also organize yourself on request and for a small additional charge. Specialties of the house are the drinks, one of which is even eponymous! You can look forward to three main offers with Stößchen, juniper tonic and water, rounded off by various brandies and liqueurs from the Krämer distillery – including the herbal liqueur "August with the tie". With the juniper tonic, there is also an ironic answer to the currently prevailing gin-tonic hype – because here it is served "pure and naked". Just the way it tastes best!
